Justin Hurwitz graduated from Harvard University in 2008, where he studied music composition and orchestration. He has composed the music for all of Damien Chazelle’s films including WHIPLASH, LA LA LAND, FIRST MAN, and BABYLON, earning two Academy Awards®, four Golden Globes, three Critics’ Choice Awards, two Grammys, and a BAFTA. Also a scriptwriter, he has contributed to such series as The Simpsons and Curb Your Enthusiasm. His fifth feature-length collaboration with Chazelle, the Hollywood epic Babylon, saw release in 2022. In between scoring films, Justin travels the world performing his film music.

Street Food Cinema and TIL Events, in collaboration with Hurwitz Concerts and Lionsgate, presents LA LA LAND IN CONCERT at Los Angeles State Historic Park. The “Live to Film” event will take place on Saturday, September 20th and Sunday, September 21st. Justin Hurwitz will conduct his Oscar ® -winning score and Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, and Justin Hurwitz’s Oscar ® -winning song “City of Stars”, performed live-to-film by a 53-piece symphony orchestra and jazz band, accompanying the film's original vocal recordings.

“Someone in the Crowd” (Pit Seats Section) - $133
Closest to the orchestra! Ground-level stadium style seats on the grass in the pit right in front of the orchestra. No picnic blankets are permitted in this area. These seats are closest to the orchestra. Please note, the screen view may be partially obstructed by the orchestra. No outside chairs or coolers are permitted.
"City of Stars" (Reserved Seats Section) - $144
Comfortable theater style seating! Reserved seating features comfortable lounge chairs, which are set up theater style. Seats are numbered and assigned to ticket holders. Reserved and Box Seating guests have the exclusive option to pre-order bottle service, picnic dinners, and charcuterie. The Reserved section is behind Box Seats, in front of General Admission. No outside chairs or coolers are permitted.
"Another Day of Sun" (Platinum Box Seats Section) - $372-$398 ($186-$199 Per Seat)
Best seats in the house! Premium box seating in front of the screen and orchestra that offers VIP amenities and high-end delicacies available to preorder. Platinum Box Seats provides one table with comfortable lounge chair seating for two guests. Box seats are the best seats in the house with premium views. What types of chairs are allowed for General Admission?
